Project Description
This brand new 62,000 square foot high school for the Los Angeles Unified School District (formerly South Los Angeles High School #3) included a ground up, multi-story high school campus comprised of a gym, classrooms and administration buildings. Athena Engineering, Inc. was responsible for the entire mechanical scope of work, including the HVAC and the automation controls at this new flagship campus for the district.
Athena Engineering installed a modular central plant, mechanical piping, chillers, chilled water, hot water boilers, air handlers and all of the duct work. This project included a complete BMS interface. Athena Engineering was the lead on all of the in-house Building Information Modeling, in addition to in-house AutoCAD coordination drawings for the Mechanical HVAC.
