Sally Ride Elementary School: A SMArT Academy

This new school is 52,500 SF serving approximately 650 students on two levels and resides on a dense site of 2.7 acres. The academy, which serves kindergarten through fifth grades, includes 27 classrooms, administrative offices, a joint use multi-purpose space, food services and library. The sustainable campus reached 50 Collaborative for High Performance Schools points.

Athena Engineering, Inc. performed the Mechanical HVAC & Building Automation scope for this project. Athena Engineering installed unitary packaged equipment with VAV and commercial zoning systems with full BACnet DDC controls.
