Over 500 Pounds of Food Gathered for Food Bank

  • 2016 food drive

It took three large pick-up trucks and five people to deliver the over 500 pounds of food collected this year for our Annual Food Drive. To say we were overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, donations, and support is an understatement.

Every year, Athena Engineering, our subcontractors, and suppliers work together to gather food and resources for our local food bank, St. Frances of Rome in Azusa, CA. This year was our 12th Annual Food Drive and we were humbled and overwhelmed by the amazing outpouring of donations given by our subcontractors, suppliers, friends, and team members. Our goal started at $500, which was surpassed in three days. Our second goal was $750, which was surpassed to over $1,200 raised. Combined with the in-kind donations that came pouring in, we collected over $2,000 worth of food, baby formula, baby diapers, personal hygiene items, and even dog food for those that need it this season.

Thank you to everyone that helped fill the food bank shelves this holiday season! Read more about our Community Involvement
